Prizma Ponikve
Prizma Ponikve is a special social security institution that was founded for the organised social care of younger and grown-up people with physical or mental development disorders. Along with this basic mission we provide help to individuals and families at their homes, social service and health service that aren’t carried out by doctors. There is health care and physiotherapy, but also occupational therapy. With the guidance of an occupational therapist the residents who like working with wood make and sell wooden items. They eagerly produce various toys, hayracks, cases, boxes, trays and vessels … Working with wood and the fact that one of our living units is based in Sodražica encouraged us to connect with the new Handicraft Cooperative. Our protégés will be able to learn new woodwork skills and at the same time gain another selling point for their sincere works of art.
