OOZ Ribnica
For 45 years, Regional Chamber of Craft Ribnica has been connecting crafters and entrepreneurs in the area of the municipalities Ribnica, Sodražica and Loški Potok. Among others, its task is to preserve and develop traditional art and crafts. To do so, it engaged and gained the rights of a performer of National vocational qualification (NVQ) for eight woodenware-making branches: bottom making, sieve making, side-rim making, spoon making, souvenir making, toothpick making, vessel making, and tool making.
The Chamber organises numerous fair presentations of its members at home and abroad. It works as Slovenia’s business point SPOT (formerly E-vem) where entrepreneurs can open, change and close their business. It also informs and notifies them about business legislation. As a partner or project holder it takes part in numerous projects in the field of woodworking and handicraft. Its strong wood section is active at raising awareness about sustainable use and meaning of wood. The president of Regional Chamber of Craft Ribnica Franc Lesar and expert co-worker Barbara Nosan guarantee that we will offer all the necessary expert help to Handicraft Cooperative In situ and its members.
