I am a woodcrafter who has been making wooden vessels since my early childhood. I represent the sixth generation of vessel makers … I stay true to the traditional processes that were used in this area by our ancestors. I cannot imagine life without my craft … I mostly make wooden pails, boxes, sauna pails, bottle packaging … Everything exclusively from Slovenian wood. My wooden vessels were awarded with Art & Craft certificate and “Zlata vitica” award by Slovenian Chamber of Craft and Small Business. I am allowed to use geographic indication “Ribnica woodenware”. When I was a child, I learned to be a vessel maker from my father. I transferred this knowledge to my son, but unfortunately he hasn’t decided for the family craft. Yet who knows, perhaps my grandson will.
