Andrej Pogorelc
I founded my company Dekorles on 16 March 1990. At first, my basic activity was manufacturing and trading with wooden items. In the last 20 years, I have specialised in laser engraving and cutting of woodenware. The prices are formed according to shape and size of a product, type of wood and quantity. I am glad that the continuously occupied capacities and repeat buyers prove that my business partners respect my work as professional at reasonable prices.
In the period 1998–2006 I was elected mayor of Sodražica Municipality. In this time, the municipality gained geographical indication “Ribnica woodenware” together with six other municipalities of woodenware making area (Ribnica, Kočevje, Velike Lašče, Dobrepolje, Loški potok, Bloke). Since 2006, I have been working for the good of the residents of Sodražica for the fourth time as deputy mayor of Sodražica Municipality.
I know the wood industry well. I feel close to the environment where I work, and people I work with. The fact that the members – founders of Handicraft Cooperative In situ Sodražica chose me for its president, means a huge honour to me and a duty to represent them and In situ in a responsible and courageous way.
