Sandra Pintar
I have a master’s degree in landscape architecture. After my child’s birth, a designer’s path took me from gardens to other fields of design – I started designing products for children. With help of my mother and father, I tailored and composed a swing. Because I made it for my own child, I wished it to be exceptionally safe, comfortable and modern-looking. The swing is made of carefully selected textile and wooden accessories without any finish. The fabric and the stuffing make it soft. I think it is wonderful that it is made of wood. Trees symbolise human connection with nature and remind us of fundamental values that remain untouched in the course of time. As a landscape architect, I always felt powerfully attracted to trees. They carry their message, which becomes visible in their appearance. Likewise, wood, a gift of nature, has its value particularly when we give it a form.
