Pavel Hočevar
I was secretary of the Regional Chamber of Craft Ribnica for many years. I was in constant contact with crafters from our environment, among them many woodcrafters. Cooperating with them brought me the most beautiful and the best experiences. I advised many when they were starting their business and later when they were entering the market and developing further. I represented Slovene crafting in various areas, from adopting legislation to presenting them at fairs at home and abroad. In my capacity of Secretary of the Chamber, I led numerous projects connected with handicraft and wood. I am most proud of my participation in the funding of Ribnica Handicraft Centre, of gaining certificate of national vocational occupation (NVQ) for eight woodenware-making branches, of geographic indication “Ribnica Woodenware”, of the project “Wood as a cultural heritage material” … With my experiences, I would like to help members of Handicraft Cooperative in various fields and support them in developing their activities.
